Elk & Mule Deer Combination Hunt

Come hunt some of Colorado's most majestic animals. This hunt takes place in some of the most beautiful mountains of Colorado! It is one of the better elk areas in Colorado. We go to our very remote tent camps in 4X4 vehicles and then we hunt with horses and on foot. We have very good horses that anyone physically able can ride.  We use stands on game trails. The country is high rolling mountains with open meadows surrounded by either pine or aspen trees. The elevation is 9,000 ft. on up, so come prepared for some snow. The weather varies quickly and is very changeable this time of year, but is usually great for hunting elk. Temperatures from 40 to 10 degrees at night are usual. This is one of the old style hunts out of a real nice tent camp that carries a lot more experiences and memories with you after the hunt, than a hunt from a lodge or cabin.

All Mule deer licenses limited by drawing only for all seasons. Anyone that is thinking about a deer or elk hunt in future years should apply to D.O.W. every year by early April to obtain a preference point for obtaining a license in a future year.
